GeoPython 2020

Teaching Geodataprocessing with Python
2020-09-21, 11:40–12:00, Room 1

The presentation is about findings and best practices in teaching geodata-processing with Python and OpenSource Libraries and proprietary packages

The potential for automation in geodata-processing is huge. But for many they fear the obstacles of getting into scripting or programming. The result is sometimes that they quit trying to build their customised and most effective solution or turn to manual, non-automated workflows to process their data.
Training programms for how to learn geodataprocessing with Python with both OpenSource libraries and proprietary packages has become more popular. The presentation will introduce how such courses are designed and what could be extracted as best practices from a plethora of many years teaching such courses.
