Recent developments in Python data visualization libraries enable data analysts and scientists to quickly and intuitively create interactive data visualizations. In this talk, we dive into examples of visualizing movement (GPS tracking) datasets using MovingPandas, GeoViews, and HoloViz in Jupyter notebooks.
This talk looks at the current status of data visualization capabilities from the perspective of analysts / scientists working with GPS tracking data. We explore interactive visualization possibilities provided by the Pandas ecosystem: starting from GeoPandas & MovingPandas and its visualization options and limitations, followed by a dive into Pandas & Datashader for larger datasets and creating linked plots.
