I am a Berlin based software developer and love all things open. As one of the organisers of the Berlin Open Knowledge Lab, I got to know the Wikidata project and continue to find more and more use-cases for it. I love sharing my knowledge and think that Wikidata and Open Data in general can be a very empowering tool for everyone.

Wikidata - a new source for geospatial data
Wikidata gives us a new way to query the world's knowledge (e.g "give me a map of cities with a female mayor, ordered by size"). This workshop will give an introduction to the project and show how it can be interfaced with Python.
