Active in various Open Source geospatial communities and projects: OSGeo.nl as chairman of the board, Python projects like GeoHealthCheck, Stetl (Geospatial ETL in Python) and Smart Emission (Air Quality Sensor Data). Speaker at conferences like FOSS4G, FOSSGIS and GeoPython (2016 and 2017). Thinks Python is the best choice as a programming language especially for backends within the geospatial domain. Tries to keep a blog of his projects and findings within the Open Source geospatial domain.
