I'am working at geo information office in Liestal (canton Basel-Landschaft) for more then 8 years as an developer and open source enthusiast. I work on over 10 applications including the cantonal web GIS. Over the time solutions got more and more generic which leads to the pyramid_oereb project (github.com) which is used by at least 14 cantons in the mean while. I believe in the benefit of open source software and therefore want to spread knowledge about existing solutions.

pyramid_georest
pyramid_georest is a small and handy open source plugin for the pyramid web framework. It enables a restful interface to utilize sqlalchemy and geoalchemy. As an restful API it offers all necessary entry points to handle spatial data stored in a database via web services. In addition it offers a filter possibility (generic and spatial) and paging.
