GeoPython 2023

Ben Jones

As an Engineering Geologist, Ben consults on civil engineering projects with respect to the subsurface conditions and engineering interactions with assets. The industry is heavily driven by standards and codes and has many unique domain problems that Ben rejoices in resolving with Python and GIS. Civil engineering is rapidly digitising: making it an exciting landscape where both automated drones and VR digital twin site visits exist in the same space as paper map archives and a huge legacy of PDF report bound data.
Ben is a proud father and guitarist, loves to travel and has found great inspiration from the wider Python community.
